For this project, I wrote a reflective, guidance-focused blog article on how to care for yourself while supporting a loved one with mental illness.

The piece combines emotional insight with practical advice—helping readers navigate feelings of responsibility and overwhelm, while learning how to set boundaries and maintain their own wellbeing.

It’s written to feel supportive, relatable, and gently reassuring—offering guidance without judgment.

Excerpt

“Maybe your friend struggles with hoarding, and she asks you for help sorting through her things. But upon going to her house, you quickly see how hard it is for her to let anything go. And then you’re stuck not knowing what to do. You want to help so badly, but nothing you say is able to support her in getting rid of anything. You go home and get stuck in a rabbit hole of research on how to help. Before you know it, you’ve spent the entire week consuming every piece of media you can about hoarding disorders. In that process, you’ve completely lost track of the goals you had planned for yourself.”
