Person-centered blogs, website copy, and educational content to help you connect with the people you’re here to serve

You’re doing life-changing work. Your words should reflect that!

You didn’t enter this field to become a marketer.

You spent time learning how to support people. To sit with them in hard moments. To offer guidance. To make a difference.

But now, you’re also trying to:

  • Create a website that feels like you

  • Write blogs that actually connect

  • Explain what you do in a way that builds trust

  • Attract the right clients without sounding salesy

That’s a lot to carry! But you don’t have to do it by yourself.

Hi there, I’m Katelyn!

(they/she)

A social worker turned mental health copywriter, who still loves to help people

Katelyn Owen with short brown hair, smiling while wearing a green V-neck top and earrings, standing against a plain white wall.

For nearly a decade, I worked in outpatient, community, and residential settings supporting people of all ages.

When I left the field, I didn’t want to leave my passion for helping others behind. So I got creative and found a way I could still help.

Now, I write content for therapists and other helpers, so they can share their work with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

Whether it’s website copy, blogs, or educational content—my goal is to craft every word with thought and care, in a way that welcomes and supports the audience my clients serve.

Previous Projects

A glimpse at how thoughtful, person-centered messaging comes to life

"Katelyn delivered a thorough and professional article on a specialized topic, and was easy and clear in her communication. She was responsive and open to feedback and some requests we had for revision. Her work was polished and provided actionable advice for readers. We appreciate the opportunity to work with this freelancer and would recommend her to other publishers in the psychology/self-help space."
